On Thursday midnight, the students of LBS Hostel in BHU campus sat on strike by blocking the road in front of the hostel, accusing the hostel warden of slapping a student. During this, the students raised slogans against the warden and demanded his resignation. The students sitting on strike said that the quality of food available in their hostel mess was not good for the last few days. On this, the money for food was collected by talking to the mess chief of the mess run in nearby Dhanvantari Hostel.

Food was being eaten here for the last few days. Meanwhile, during dinner on Wednesday night, medical students living in Dhanwantri hostel misbehaved. When this was protested, the medical students took photographs and chased them away from the hostel. While going to the Chief Proctor’s office to give this information, the warden of LBS Hostel slapped a student. The students said that they will not end the strike until the warden resigns and the medical students apologize.

Regarding this, Chief Proctor Prof. SP Singh said that the students of LBS are angry after the altercation between the students of Dhanwantari and LBS hostel. Efforts are being made to convince the students through talks. After talking to them, action will be taken as per rules.
